Comrade Jiang Zemin passed away due to illness in Shanghai, China at 12:13 p.m. on 30 November 2022 at the age of 96. Comrade Jiang Zemin is recognized by the Chinese people of all ethnic groups, the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the entire People’s Liberation Army (PLA) as an outstanding leader enjoying high prestige, a great Marxist, a great proletarian revolutionist, statesman, military strategist, diplomat, a long-tested communist fighter, an outstanding leader of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the core of the CPC's third-generation central collective leadership, and the principal founder of the Theory of Three Represents.
