On September 12, Liu Hongmei met with Executive Director of Mekong Institute Suriyan Vichitlekarn.

Consul General Liu congratulated Director Suriyan on his re-election and highly praised the Mekong Institute’s continued progress,and their contribution to the development of the Lancang-Mekong sub-region. The Consulate General will continue to provide assistance for exchanges and cooperation between the institute and China and jointly promote deeper and more substantial sub-regional cooperation.

Director Suriyan welcomed Consul General Liu to her assumption of office in Khon Kaen and thanked the Consulate General for its long-term strong support for the work of the Institute. He was willing to continue to strengthen communication and collaboration with the Consulate General and regularly follow the progress of projects and cooperation plans.
