On November 4, Consul General Liu Hongmei attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Khon Kaen Leman Golden Dragon Lion Dance Sports Club. Nearly 500 people attended the event, including Governor of Khon Kaen Province, Mayor of Khon Kaen City, and representatives of 24 overseas Chinese groups in Khon Kaen.

Consul General Liu congratulated the Khon Kaen Leman Golden Dragon Lion Dance Sports Club on its 50th anniversary, and praised the Sports Club for its active inheritance and promotion of traditional Chinese culture.The wonderful performances presented in various activities held by the Khon Kaen government and overseas Chinese groups are very popular.Consul General Liu said that the Chinese Consulate General will continue to practice the concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness in neighboring diplomacy, promote the high-quality development of overseas Chinese culture, and support the interaction between dragon and lion dance and other folk groups in Northeastern Thailand to interact with their Chinese counterparts.

The Chairman of the Sports Club appreciated the Chinese Consulate General for its long-term support and assistance, and will fully play the role as a cultural bridge and contribute to connect the local people between China and Thailand.
