On November 14, 2023, Consul General Liu Hongmei met with Dean Burin Plengdeesakul of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Khon Kaen University.

Consul General Liu stated that China and Thailand have a long history of friendship. The peoples of the two countries are good neighbors, good partners, and relatives. Cultural and artistic exchanges are important bonds to connect people's hearts. In October, Prime Minister Settha Thawisin went to China to attend the The Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and officially visited China. The leaders of  both countries reached major consensus to exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture. The Consulate General is willing to provide assistance for exchanges and cooperation between the faculty and China，and jointly promote mutual learning of the two countries and local culture, and inject more motivation to the building of the China-Thailand community with a shared future .

Dean Burin Plengdeesakul briefly introduced the development of the Faculty and cooperation with China, and expressed his willingness to continue strengthening communication with the Consulate General, promoting the integration and development of Thailand-China culture education, and continuously enrich the new era between the two countries as close as one family.
