On November 25, 2023, Consul General Liu Hongmei was invited to attend and deliver a speech at the 16th  Associated dinner of  the Teo Ann Association of Thailand. Governor WanCha of Udon Thani, President Wu Binglin of the Teo Ann Association of  Thailand, Chairman Huang Shuming of the Udon Thani Branch of the Teo Ann Association of  Thailand, Vice Chairman Huang Muxi of the Udon Thani Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives from various provincial branches and more than 800 representatives from Thai-Chinese surnames and clans attended the event.

Consul General Liu highly praised the contributions of the Teo Ann Association of  Thailand to the promotion of  China-Thailand friendship and the strengthening of hometown ties. Liu stated that the Consulate General will continue to adhere to the principle of "people-oriented, serving overseas Chinese" and wholeheartedly provide various services for the overseas Chinese community. Liu also encouraged the association to continue promoting the fine traditions of loving their homeland and giving back to their roots, contributing to the sustainable  development  of  China-Thailand friendly relations.

Prior to the dinner, Liu had a cordial discussion with representatives from various overseas Chinese associations and surnames and clans in Udon Thani.
