On November 28, 2023, Consul General Liu Hongmei met with Dean Peerasit of the College of Local Administration  Khon Kaen University. 

Consul General Liu fully acknowledged the work of the College in promoting cooperation in administrative management between the two countries and at the local level, and highly praised its international cooperation vision. In response to inquiries, Liu introduced the theory and practice of  major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Liu expressed the Consulate General's willingness to provide support and assistance to strengthen cooperation between the College and Chinese universities, injecting more vitality into  the community with a shared future  China-Thailand. 

Dean Peerasit congratulated Liu on her new position and briefly introduced the development of the College and its cooperation with China. He expressed the willingness to continue strengthening communication with the Consulate General and jointly promoting cooperation in public administration between Thai and Chinese local governments. Efforts will be made to expand the exchange of policies, promote cultural integration, and enhance people-to-people connectivity.
