On December 1, 2023, Consul General Liu Hongmei met with  Minister of Culture of Thailand  Sansern.

Consul General Liu welcomeed Minister Sansern and his wife to visit the Consulate General. She pointed out that cultural exchanges serve as an  important bond to connect people's hearts. During The Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, China and Thailand have signed multiple cooperation agreements in the cultural field. Culture needs to be inherited, but also to be innovative, and mutual learning and exchange need to be promoted. The Consulate General is willing to continue promoting cultural exchanges between China-Thailand, as well as between localities, to expand cultural exchanges and practical cooperation, and to contribute to the progress of social civilization in both countries.

Sansern highly appreciated China's achievements in cultural undertakings and cultural industry development. He hoped to learn from China's successful experience and looked forward to deepening cooperation with China in traditional festivals, intangible cultural heritage, film, and other areas, jointly promoting the cultural prosperity and development of both countries.
