From November 29 to December 1, 2023, Consul General Liu Hongmei attended the opening ceremony of the Khon Kaen International Silk Festival, business matchmaking and the promotion of Mor Lam culture.

Founded in 1979, the Khon Kaen International Silk Festival has grown into one of the largest events in the region, featuring traditional Khon Kaen arts, cultural performances, Thai Silk and local handicrafts. Other countries from the Mekong subregion (China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar) also participated.

Thanks to the active promotion of the Consulate General of China in Khon Kaen, the Fujian delegation attended the opening ceremony and parade of this year's Thai Silk Festival for the first time, presenting Nanyin and marionette performances, which won the favor of the local people.
